If your gardening purchase doesn’t meet your expectations, our returns policy is designed with the same attention to detail we apply to our Japanese Maples and Gardenias.
Our Returns & Exchanges Promise
We accept returns and exchanges within 15 days of receiving your order. To be eligible for return, plants must be in their original condition with intact root systems and showing no signs of neglect or improper care.
Non-Returnable Items
Like delicate blooms that cannot be replanted, certain items in our collection cannot be returned:
- Japanese Maple Trees (due to their sensitive root systems and specialized shipping requirements)
- Any plants with personalized care instructions that have been opened or used
- Seasonal items marked as “final sale”
How to Initiate a Return or Exchange
Follow these simple steps to return your plants:
- Contact our Plant Concierge within 15 days of receipt at [email protected] with your order number and photos of the plants in question
- Receive approval – Our gardening specialists will review your request within 2 business days
- Package carefully – Repack plants in their original container with adequate protection
- Ship back – Use the return shipping label we provide (return shipping costs are the customer’s responsibility)
Return Shipping Instructions
For the health of the plants during return transit:
- Water plants lightly 24 hours before shipping
- Use the original packaging whenever possible
- Mark the package “LIVE PLANTS – RETURN” clearly on the exterior
- Ship via the same method used for delivery (DHL/FedEx for Standard Shipping, EMS for Free Shipping)
Refund Process
Once we receive and inspect your return:
- Refund method: Original payment method (credit cards processed within 5-7 business days, PayPal within 3-5 business days)
- Deductions: Original shipping costs are non-refundable
- Exchange processing: New items will ship within 3 business days of return approval
